Awami League leader and physician Aminul Haq Ratan arrested from his chamber in Kushtia, sent to jail by court order

Police have arrested Aminul Haq Ratan, vice-president of the Kushtia district Awami League and a physician.

On Friday (6 November) at 2pm, Kushtia Model Police Station and detective police carried out a joint operation and arrested him from his own chamber.

He was later shown arrested in an anti-terrorism case and produced before the Kushtia Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. The judge ordered him sent to jail custody.

Dr Ratan's wife, Dr Liza, alleged that police took her husband away without any specific case. She claimed that when she asked police in which case he was being arrested, she received no satisfactory answer.
