Abdus Salam made convenor, Robin member secretary of BNP Dhaka South

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has reconstituted the convening committee of its Dhaka Metropolitan South unit. Freedom fighter Abdus Salam has been made convenor and Tanvir Ahmed Robin member secretary of the new committee.

The information was announced in a press release signed by BNP assistant office secretary Muhammad Munir Hossain on Sunday (November 8).

Abdul Qadir Bhuiyan Jewel has been given charge as senior joint convenor of the new committee. A N M Saiful Islam has been made joint convenor.

Convenor Abdus Salam is a freedom fighter. The newly formed committee will run the organisational activities of Dhaka Metropolitan South under his leadership, together with member secretary Tanvir Ahmed Robin.

The press release announced the names of those holding the committee's top posts: convenor, member secretary, senior joint convenor and joint convenor.

With this reconstitution, the BNP's organisation in the southern part of the capital has got a new leadership.
