Culture of stealing 5-8 taka from a 10-taka project must stop, says MP Siraj in Bogura

It is not enough to carry out development alone; development must be free of corruption. The culture of stealing five to eight taka from a ten-taka project must be stopped. Golam Md Siraj, member of parliament for Bogura-5, said this at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the district council dak bungalow building in Sherpur, Bogura.
He laid the foundation stone of the building in Sherpur at around 10:30 in the morning on Sunday. The estimated cost of constructing the building, funded by the Bogura district council, is 2 crore 88 lakh 44 thousand 782 taka.
Golam Md Siraj said at the time that Prime Minister Tareque Rahman is working tirelessly. Political leaders and workers and the administration must work together, keeping pace with his speed of work.
He said development activities must be carried forward treating five years as five months.
On the relationship between the administration and the people, he said it was earlier difficult for ordinary people to reach the deputy commissioner and the superintendent of police. Now administrative officials mix with people and listen to their joys and sorrows.
He said this relationship between the administration and the people must be made more cordial.
On the political position of Jamaat-e-Islami, the member of parliament said Jamaat has a strong vote bank in Sherpur, Gabtali and Bogura Sadar. There is no scope to take them lightly.
