Bachchu Sheikh is a Distribution Sales Officer (DSO) of Jabed Enterprise, the bKash distributor in Bagerhat.
Eyewitnesses said five men on two motorcycles blocked his path while he was crossing the road. When the miscreants tugged at the bag in his hand, Bachchu refused to let it go. He shouted, 'Snatchers, snatchers!' The miscreants then took out a machete from the bag and tried to hack him. They also threatened bystanders by showing the machete.
At one point, the miscreants struck with the machete. Bachchu tried to move away and fell on the road. They then snatched his bag and fled on two motorcycles towards the Badhal-Pirojpur road.
Md Humayun Kabir Kudrati, general manager of Jabed Enterprise, said their DSOs supply cash and e-money to bKash agents. Like every day, Bachchu took money from the office in the morning and went to Signboard market. After completing transactions at several shops, he parked his motorcycle and went into a shop. Later, while crossing the road to another shop, the miscreants on two motorcycles tried to snatch his bag.
