Rickshaw-puller dies in Barishal hospital after his vehicle overturns
Rickshaw-puller Jafar, 45, has died in hospital in Barishal after the rickshaw he was driving overturned and left him seriously injured.
He died on Sunday morning (8 November) while under treatment at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. Jafar lived in the Bhatikhana area under Kaunia police station.
Family sources said that around 6am Jafar was driving the rickshaw himself when it overturned, apparently through carelessness, and he was seriously hurt in the fall.
His relatives rushed him to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, where he later died while under treatment.
His nephew, Md Rakib Hossain, said his uncle died because of the accident, and the family now wants to take the body home without a post-mortem examination.
The hospital's ward master office said it has informed Kaunia police station, as the relatives want to take the body without a post-mortem.
