Directorate Orders 1,351 Primary Schools to Submit Student Data by 30 October
The Directorate of Primary Education has ordered student data from 1,351 schools to be submitted by 30 October for a primary education baseline survey. Of these, information on Class Three and Class Five students at 937 schools must be entered into the IPEMIS system. Data from the remaining 414 schools must be filled in on a prescribed Excel file and sent by email.
The instruction came in a recent letter signed by Mohammad Rakib Uddin, director (monitoring and evaluation) of the Directorate of Primary Education. The letter was sent to district primary education officers across the country.
The letter said a module named 'ASPR Baseline Survey Data Collection 2026' has been added to the IPEMIS system to collect data for the ASPR baseline survey. Schools had earlier been asked to enter information on their Class Three and Class Five students into the module, but data from many schools was not submitted within the set time.
Meanwhile, the codes of 414 schools are not in the directorate's IPEMIS system, so a separate Excel format was provided to collect their data. But that information has also not reached the directorate.
In this situation, schools whose data has not been entered into the IPEMIS module have been asked to ensure their entries, while the 414 schools with different codes have been asked to fill in and send the prescribed Excel sheet.
The letter also said the soft copy of the completed Excel file must be sent by 30 October to the email address of the director (monitoring and evaluation) at the Directorate of Primary Education. The file must not be converted into a PDF under any circumstances.
Describing the matter as 'very urgent', the directorate requested the officials concerned to send the information within the set deadline.
