Liton Injures Elbow While Batting in Mirpur Test, Jaker Ali Keeps Wicket

Wicketkeeper-batter Liton Das has injured his right elbow after being hit by the ball while batting in Bangladesh's first innings of the Mirpur Test against the West Indies.
On Thursday (29 October), the second day of the Test, Bangladesh were all out for 272 in their first innings. When the West Indies' first innings began, Jaker Ali Anik was seen behind the stumps with the gloves instead of regular keeper Liton.
Bangladesh national team physiotherapist Bayejidul Islam Khan said Liton was hit on the right elbow by the ball while batting. He is currently under observation, and Jaker Ali Anik is keeping wicket in his place.
The team's medical department is monitoring the nature and condition of Liton's injury, it was said.
Liton had recently returned to the field after recovering from injury. The fresh injury in the Mirpur Test has raised concern over his physical condition.
