Chanchal Chowdhury and Afran Nisho Together Again in Vicky Zahed's First Film Khalnayak

Chanchal Chowdhury and Afran Nisho acted together on the big screen for the first time in the film Dom, released last Ramadan Eid. Within a year, they are appearing together again.

This time they will be seen in director Vicky Zahed's first film, Khalnayak. Toma Mirza is in the lead female role. She was also the heroine of Nisho's first two films, Suranga and Dagi.

Rumours about the making of Khalnayak had been heard for several months. Although the director initially avoided the matter by calling it 'fake news', production company SVF Alpha i Entertainment finally announced the film officially yesterday.

Shooting of the psychological thriller has already been completed across Bangladesh and India.

Director Vicky Zahed said about the film: 'Khalnayak is a new portrayal of the deep complexity and mystery of human character. From the screenplay and casting to the style of making — audiences will see variety and difference in every area. Directing powerful actors like Nisho bhai and Chanchal bhai together is as thrilling and challenging as it is joyful.'

Afran Nisho described the film as a 'great psychological canvas' and said: 'Vicky Zahed's making and way of telling a story are different from others. After hearing the screenplay of Khalnayak, I felt it is a great psychological canvas. I hope audiences will get a new experience.'

Chanchal Chowdhury, meanwhile, said: 'The character I played in Khalnayak is quite complex and psychological, which attracted me greatly as an actor. The experience of working with Nisho is always enjoyable. I believe audiences will enjoy the film.'

Alongside Chanchal, Nisho and Toma, the film also stars Shahiduzzaman Selim, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Intekhab Dinar, Sumon Patwary, Gazi Rakayet, Bijori Barkatullah, Sohel Mondal, Sumon Anwar, Tushar Khan and Sentu.

Tollywood actress Priyanka Sarkar will also be seen in a special role. Priyanka previously acted with Nirob in the film Hridoy Jurey, released in 2020.

Through Khalnayak, SVF Alpha i Entertainment and Hoichoi Studios have joined a joint production for the first time. The production company said the film's release date will be announced soon.
