All examinees fail at seven Sirajganj institutions in HSC results, show-cause notices to follow

No student from seven educational institutions in Sirajganj district has passed the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, a review of the results shows.
The zero-pass institutions include five madrasas, one technical college and one school and college.
At Shyampur Kazi Ismail Hossain Alim Madrasa in Shialkol, Sirajganj Sadar upazila, eight students sat the examination and none of them passed.
Twenty-one examinees from Amsara Islamia Darul Ulum Fazil Madrasa in Raiganj upazila and 15 from Telizana Alim Madrasa in the same upazila also sat the exams, and none passed from either institution.
Fourteen students from Dobila Islamia Fazil Madrasa in Tarash upazila and 14 from Chandragati Alim Madrasa in Ullapara upazila took the examination, and all of them failed.
Three examinees sat from Chhatiantoli Morgram Technical and BM College in Sirajganj Sadar upazila, while just one candidate sat from SB Railway Colony School and College in the town. No student passed from either institution.
Ashraful Islam, principal of SB Railway Colony School and College, said the college had almost no students, so only one candidate took the HSC examination this year, and that candidate failed in one subject.
District Education Officer Shafiqul Islam said he had learned that a lone examinee had sat and failed, and that necessary measures would be taken.
Attempts were made to contact the heads of the other six institutions for comment, but their mobile phones were found switched off.
Rozina Akter, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) of Sirajganj, said show-cause notices would be served on the institutions where one hundred percent of students failed, and that further action would be taken after a review.
