Every Mirzapur Cadet College Examinee Scores GPA-5 in HSC Results
Every examinee from Mirzapur Cadet College in Tangail has scored GPA-5 in this year's HSC examination results. The information emerged from the results published on Saturday (31 October). Each of the students who sat the examination from the college achieved the highest possible grade.
According to the upazila secondary education office, a total of 2,586 students from Mirzapur upazila took part in this year's HSC examination. Of them, 1,236 passed and 46 obtained GPA-5.
Of the 46 GPA-5 achievers across the upazila, 41 are students of Mirzapur Cadet College. In other words, nearly all of the upazila's top scorers come from this single institution. Only five GPA-5 achievers came from all the other institutions combined.
The result has brought joy to the college's teachers and students. The institution's performance has also become a talking point in the local education community.
The college's acting principal, Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad, expressed satisfaction at the achievement. He said, “This achievement is the combined result of the cadets' hard work, regular supervision by the college authorities, the sincere efforts and proper guidance of the teachers, and the cooperation of guardians.”
He expressed gratitude to the cadets, teachers, guardians and everyone concerned. In his view, the college's goal now is to maintain this consistency.
Mirzapur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zahirul Alam and Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Zulfikar Haider said, “Even better results are possible in future through the combined efforts of teachers, students and guardians.” They sought everyone's cooperation to that end.
Local resident Abul Kalam Azad Siddiqui congratulated the successful students, saying, “May they get admitted to good institutions for higher education and devote themselves to building the nation.”
Established in 1963, Mirzapur Cadet College began its journey with the aim of producing skilled, patriotic citizens capable of leadership. Through its disciplined environment, dedication and regular practice, the institution has been achieving good results at the national level every year — and this year's hundred-percent GPA-5 rate is proof of that continuity.
