Supreme Court administration allocates computers to 18 courts to speed up judicial work

The Supreme Court administration has taken an initiative to supply desktop computers to 18 courts to increase the use of technology in judicial proceedings and speed up official work in the country's subordinate courts.
By order of the Chief Justice, one computer has been allocated to each of these courts. The initiative became known on Sunday (November 1). A directive in this regard was recently issued by Md Mazharul Haque, special officer of the High Court.
The courts receiving computers include the family courts of Jhalakathi, Chandpur and Natore; the child abuse prevention tribunals of Khagrachhari and Rangpur; the human trafficking offences prevention tribunal of Cox's Bazar; and the land survey tribunal of Rajbari.
Also covered are Dhaka's 11th and 12th additional district and sessions judge courts, Lalmonirhat's second, Narayanganj's fifth, Chattogram's third and Cumilla's fifth additional district and sessions judge courts.
Among the joint district and sessions judge courts are Bogura's first, Sirajganj's second, Pabna's first and Munshiganj's second courts. A computer has also been allocated to the joint district and sessions judge court of Kalapara Chowki in Patuakhali.
Each allocated computer will be supplied with a monitor, CPU, UPS, keyboard, mouse, mouse pad and multiplug.
It is hoped that using this equipment will make the judicial and official activities of the courts concerned easier and more dynamic.
