Shamim Osman Announces December Return; BNP Leader Tipu Threatens to Break His Arms and Legs if He Enters Narayanganj

Advocate Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu, member secretary of the Narayanganj Metropolitan BNP, has threatened to break the arms and legs of former MP A K M Shamim Osman if he enters Narayanganj. He also made various criticisms of the former MP, a leader of the Awami League, whose activities are banned.
He made the remarks on Sunday afternoon (1 November) while speaking at the inauguration of the district microbus and taxi stand at Sastapur on the Dhaka-Narayanganj link road.
Addressing Shamim Osman, the former MP for Narayanganj-4, Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu said: "There is a braggart, a drama-maker godfather in Narayanganj. He has announced, 'I am coming in December; no cannon or ammunition will be able to stop me.' Hey, you fled wearing a burqa. You are a coward. What are you announcing? You will not even be able to cross the border area. This time, if you enter Narayanganj, you will see whether your arms and legs remain intact."
Claiming that Shamim Osman had carried out looting, he said: "The people of Narayanganj will not be allowed to be held hostage by your family again. You looted five thousand crore taka from Narayanganj. Even then, through oppression, threats and terror, you want to hold the people of Narayanganj hostage again. Let me tell you, you have done a lot of extortion in your life — repent to Allah, ask for forgiveness." These allegations were made by Tipu in his speech at the event.
Referring to Shamim Osman's illness, the BNP leader said: "You (Shamim Osman) are fighting death in India. And from there you are bragging — you will come to Narayanganj? No cannon or weapon will be able to stop you. We are waiting for that moment. You fled; your son, wife and relatives, and your leader Sheikh Hasina, have fled. Even then your bragging does not stop."
Earlier, on 14 October, this BNP leader Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu, taking part in a protest rally on the Narayanganj court premises, had threatened to pull out the bricks of former mayor Dr Selina Hayat Ivy's house.
