Jenny McCarthy Says She Is Living in a Tent During Seven-Month Mold Detox

American television host Jenny McCarthy says she left her home and began living in a tent after being diagnosed, in her account, with mold and mycotoxin poisoning. She described two years of medical problems on an episode of The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show.
According to McCarthy, the ordeal began in 2024 with a toothache. She said it led to a succession of doctors, surgeries, teeth being pulled and unexpected growths appearing in places she had not anticipated.
She described severe dental infections, repeated surgeries, damage to her jawbone and recurring cysts in her eyes. She also reported debilitating leg cramps, facial swelling, worsening food allergies and insomnia.
McCarthy said testing later pointed to mold poisoning. In her account, the condition compromised her immune system and left her body less able to fight infections.
She said that, desperate to heal, she began living in a tent. Seven months into a detox programme, she said she remained too fearful to live anywhere else.
McCarthy said she became increasingly fearful of environmental triggers. In her own words, she felt that everything was poisoning her at that point and described herself as a mess during that period.
Her functional medicine doctor suggested mold testing after seeing her repeated health problems. McCarthy said she initially dismissed the idea because she believed her home was clean.
Around Christmas, she said, the doctor contacted her urgently with test results. McCarthy recalled being warned that the type of mold identified could cause seizures if it crossed the blood-brain barrier.
Her treatment, as she described it, included daily infrared sauna sessions, numerous vitamins and supplements, a powdered drink, nasal spray treatments and lymphatic castor oil packs. She said she was in month seven of the detox.
McCarthy said the fear had not lifted. She said she now feels she can detect mold when she walks into a building and has to walk out immediately.
