For popular actor Chanchal Chowdhury, the biggest joy of this year's Puja holiday was meeting his school friends again after a long time. He gathered with his schoolmates after nearly 30 years, and the actor himself shared the story of that reunion on social media.

Recently publishing a photograph taken with his friends on Facebook, Chanchal wrote, “Met my schoolmates after a long time. After almost thirty years we got together at the home of our school friend Morjina. By the pull of the heart, we are still in the same place!!!”

In the post he also specially mentioned his friend Morjina's hospitality. Recalling the old days, the actor wrote, “Those old days ….. Morjina is still the same madcap!!!” He said Morjina left nothing wanting in entertaining her friends.

Describing the feast, Chanchal wrote, “A huge spread of food!!! She fed us with her own hands, insisting we eat.” Morjina herself could not hold back her emotions on having her friends close after so long.

Describing that moment, he wrote, “At one point I saw that, having her friends back after so long, Morjina burst into tears of emotion and joy. I think all of our eyes were glistening with tears then.”

How special the time with his friends was to him is also clear in the post. Chanchal wrote, “Going to my village home this Puja holiday, this was the biggest joy of all!!!”

At the end of the post, sending his love to his friends, he wrote, “Stay well, friends! Humayun, Bakkar, Badsha, Morjina, Joynal, Arun, Tofazzal, Dilip …… my dearest friends!!!”

An earlier report in The Business Standard had described Chanchal's long friendship with his childhood friends Tofazzal Hossain and Jilhajur Rahman Badsha. That report said their friendship, begun in village school life, has lasted more than four decades, and that Chanchal still sits and chats with his friends whenever he goes to the village.
