Free Route to Italy Through Language and Skills Training Is Opening Up: Mahdi Amin

Staff Reporter

Workers will soon have a special opportunity to go to Italy at no cost through language and skills training, Mahdi Amin, the prime minister’s adviser on expatriate welfare and overseas employment and on labour and employment, has said. The process will begin very soon on a small scale, he added.

The Prime Minister’s Office spokesperson made the remarks on Tuesday (3 November) at noon at a seminar titled ‘Language, Civic and Professional Training for Skilled Migration to Italy’, held at Hotel Regency in the capital.

Mahdi Amin said the model — covering Italian language learning, acquiring specific job skills, and developing proper professional behaviour and values — is highly significant.

He said the government wants to spread this complete framework across the country on a larger scale and implement it effectively at different levels.
