Emon, Saifuddin and Ripon Leave NPL Midway to Join Rising Stars Camp at Home

Staff Reporter

Three Bangladeshi cricketers are returning home midway through the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Parvez Hossain Emon, Mohammad Saifuddin and Ripon Mondol are all in the preliminary squad for the Asia Cup Rising Stars, and that call-up is why they must head back.

A camp of 19 cricketers begins tomorrow, and the three are leaving the NPL to join the Rising Stars preparations.

Emon was with the Janakpur Bolts in the NPL, but he did not get the opportunity to play a single match for the side.

Saifuddin had been playing for the Pokhara Avengers, while Ripon Mondol played two matches for Kathmandu.

The Asia Cup Rising Stars begins on November 19 in Qatar, and the three cricketers will now turn their focus to preparing with the squad at home.

In Group A of the tournament, the Bangladesh A team will face the A teams of Sri Lanka and Afghanistan along with Hong Kong's national team. Group B contains the A teams of India and Pakistan and the national teams of Nepal and the United Arab Emirates.
