The Bangladesh Coast Guard has provided two days of free dental treatment and medicine distribution in Bhola. A total of 220 people received free dental treatment and advice at the camp held at the 10-bed hospital in Bhola.

The camp was organised by Coast Guard Base Bhola, courtesy of Mediplus Oral Health. Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon, the Coast Guard's media officer, confirmed the information on Thursday afternoon (5 November).

He said the camp began on Wednesday (4 November) and ran for two days until Thursday (5 November). At the camp, patients received dental treatment and advice from experienced doctors.

Alongside the treatment, necessary medicines and oral care kits were distributed among the patients.

Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon said the Coast Guard regularly carries out humanitarian activities for the welfare of neglected and disadvantaged people in coastal and riverside areas, and this dental camp was held as part of that work.

He added that such public welfare activities by the Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue in future to stand beside people in coastal areas and ensure their basic health services.
