Actress Bridget Fonda has been seen in public in Los Angeles, 24 years after she was last seen on screen. The 62-year-old actress was spotted on a rare public outing.

She was photographed while out to lunch on Monday, November 2. That day she wore black sweatpants and a white tank top, with a yellow collared button-up shirt over it. She carried a black crossbody bag and wore sunglasses, with her hair styled in a ponytail.

Bridget is a member of the famous Fonda family. She is the granddaughter of Academy Award-winning actor Henry Fonda, known for films such as 'The Grapes of Wrath,' '12 Angry Men' and 'On Golden Pond.' Her father is Peter Fonda, and her aunt is Academy Award-winning actress Jane Fonda.

She made her film debut at just five years old, appearing alongside her father, Peter Fonda, in the 1969 movie 'Easy Rider.'

She had her breakthrough in 1989, when she starred in the film 'Scandal.' She went on to appear in films such as 'Single White Female,' 'Point of No Return,' 'It Could Happen to You' and 'Jackie Brown.'

She slowed down in the late 1990s and into the 2000s. Her final movie role was in the 2001 TV movie 'After Amy,' and her final time on screen was in two episodes of the miniseries 'Snow Queen' in 2002.

In April 2023, she told paparazzi that she had no plans to return to acting. At the time she said she found it too nice being a civilian.

She has said that coming from a famous acting family meant she was constantly compared to the others. In 2000, she told The Guardian that at one time the press would have liked nothing better than to set up a rivalry between her and Jane, desperate to show them as bitter rivals. She said they would also try to set her against her father.

After stepping away from Hollywood, she married film composer and frontman for the band Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman, in 2003. The two welcomed their son, Oliver, in 2005.

In a 1993 interview with Movieline, she said she wonders what kind of satisfaction she would have with where she is now if she was not part of a family that has done such phenomenal work. She said she sometimes wonders if she would be more at peace if she could know she made it by herself.

She added that she keeps wondering how many times her name got her in the door, and that thought stays with her.
