Cocktail hurled at private car in Mirpur; attackers flee on motorcycle

Miscreants hurled a cocktail at a private car in front of Sony Hall in Mirpur 1 of the capital, causing an explosion.

The incident took place at around 8:35 pm on Sunday (8 November). Unidentified miscreants arrived on a motorcycle and set off the explosion.

However, no specific information about casualties in the incident was immediately available.

Md Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Mirpur Model Police Station, confirmed the matter, saying a cocktail had been hurled at a private car in front of Sony Hall, causing an explosion.

He said he was on his way to the scene and would be able to give details later.

Law enforcement sources said the unidentified miscreants came on a motorcycle and hurled the cocktail targeting the private car.

According to law enforcement sources, efforts are under way to identify those involved in the incident.
