Motorcyclist killed after bus hit in Bhanga, Faridpur
A motorcyclist was killed after a bus hit his motorcycle in Bhanga, Faridpur. The accident occurred on Sunday (November 8) at around 6:30pm in the Babanatala area of Chumardi union in Bhanga upazila.
The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Kapil Mondal (40). He was from Baghardiya village in Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district, and was the son of Kalipada Mondal.
Police and locals said the motorcycle was travelling from Bhanga towards Muksudpur, while an unidentified bus was heading towards Bhanga at the same time. Near the Babanatala Chapa Bridge, the bus hit the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist died on the spot from the impact.
On receiving the news, police from Bhanga Highway Police Station reached the scene, recovered the motorcycle and took the body to Bhanga Hospital.
Sergeant Mohammad Shamim of Bhanga Highway Police Station said an unidentified bus hit the motorcycle, and the motorcyclist died at the scene. Legal action has been taken in the incident and efforts are under way to identify the bus involved.
