Family Has Not Yet Decided on a Case Over Tahsif's Death, Father Enayetul Karim Demands a Proper Investigation

No case has yet been filed with a police station over the death of dismissed Air Force Flight Lieutenant K M Tahsif Souri. His father, K M Enayetul Karim, said the family has not yet taken any decision on filing a case. He told journalists this on Friday (October 30) at noon.
K M Enayetul Karim said, 'We have not taken any decision as a family about a case yet. Whether we will file a case or not has not been decided either. We have many engagements today. Perhaps we will not be able to decide on this today.'
Rather than emphasising a case, he demanded a proper investigation into his son's death and the uncovering of its real cause under the government's own laws. He said, 'We want the government not to focus on what we write or do not write in two lines at the police station, but to take action under its own law.'
Enayetul Karim also said, 'My son was a good citizen of this country. He was also a member of the armed forces. We want a proper investigation into a death like his, so that the real cause comes out.'
Uttarkhan police station OC Md Habibur Rahman said Tahsif's father was phoned and asked to file a case at the station, but he has not yet come to the station.
In connection with Tahsif's death, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has taken his 'junior friend' Deep into custody for questioning. Deep had spent about six hours with Tahsif before he went missing.
