Vocational exam examiners to receive nearly Tk 4 crore in remuneration as Technical Education Board issues 8 cheques

Staff Reporter

Examiners of this year's SSC (Vocational) and Dakhil (Vocational) examinations are receiving nearly Tk 4 crore in remuneration for evaluating answer scripts. The Bangladesh Technical Education Board has already issued the cheques for the money.

The information was given in a letter signed by the board's secretary, Md Al Masud Karim, on Monday (November 2).

According to the letter, eight cheques totalling Tk 3,85,56,188 have been issued as remuneration for chief examiners, examiners and scrutineers who evaluated the answer scripts of the SSC (Vocational) and Dakhil (Vocational) examinations held in 2026.

The board has requested the manager of Sonali Bank PLC's Agargaon branch to transfer the cheque amounts to the respective savings account numbers of the chief examiners, examiners and scrutineers concerned.

The letter also said the applicable bank charges in this case will be deducted from the money owed to the recipients.

For bank account numbers that contain discrepancies or errors, the allocated money will remain deposited in the board's sundry account, the letter said. The money can later be sent from that account if the persons concerned apply with a recommendation from their institution head and a corrected list is submitted.
