Staff Reporter

A new platform called ‘Rise AI’, bringing together more than 25 artificial intelligence (AI) models, has launched in Bangladesh. The platform was introduced with the aim of making various AI tools for research, education and content creation more accessible to young people.

VEON Group Chief Executive Officer Kaan Terzioglu formally inaugurated the platform. Rise AI can be used through a standalone app and a website, and it is open to customers of all mobile operators in the country.

Rise AI offers facilities for modern technology, research, image creation, video production and audio generation. The platform has three main features: Imagine Studio, Study Hub and Plugins.

Through Imagine Studio, users can create images, videos and audio. Study Hub contains various technological facilities needed for education, research and academic work. Plugins, meanwhile, offer various technologies for increasing productivity and simplifying everyday tasks.

Alongside a free package for daily use, the platform has five subscription packages priced at Tk 100, Tk 300, Tk 500, Tk 1,000 and Tk 1,500 respectively. Regardless of their mobile operator, users can pay for the packages in Bangladeshi taka.

Built with students, young professionals, content creators and aspiring entrepreneurs in mind, Rise AI aims to open up the use of AI in education, research, content creation and various everyday tasks. The platform will also help young people develop new ideas, explore creative possibilities and create new opportunities, according to those involved.

Banglalink Chief Executive Officer Johan Buse said: “The innovation of the next generation should not be held back by limitations of geographic location, purchasing power or access to technology. Bangladesh’s young people have extraordinary talent. Our goal is to put the power of artificial intelligence directly into their hands. Through Rise AI, we are making world-class technology more accessible, so that young people can not only be part of the digital future but also play a role in building it.”

Through this initiative, Rise’s commitment to digital inclusion has been further strengthened. Those involved said the goal of delivering the benefits of emerging technology to young people in every corner of Bangladesh has also moved forward.
