Mehzabeen Chowdhury and Afran Nisho Join Adnan Al Rajeev's First Feature Film 'Opalok'

Director Adnan Al Rajeev had already announced that he would make his first feature film. Now he has revealed the film's name and its cast. Actress Mehzabeen Chowdhury and actor Afran Nisho have joined the film, titled Opalok.

On Wednesday (November 4), sharing the same photograph on her Facebook page, Mehzabeen wrote that their film Opalok was officially getting under way, that she was very excited about the journey, and asked everyone to pray for them and wish them well.

In his own post, Adnan Al Rajeev wrote that Opalok is his first feature film, carrying a great deal of the whole team's dreams and love, and that Afran Nisho and Mehzabeen Chowdhury had now joined that world of love.

The director also shared his thinking about the film. In his words, they want to make an honest, simple and heart-touching romantic film, in which people will find themselves alongside love.

Adnan also wrote that he hoped the affection with which the film is being made would reach the audience too, and asked for their prayers.

In the photograph shared by Mehzabeen, she is seen writing on the pages of the screenplay. Director Adnan Al Rajeev and Afran Nisho, along with several others involved with the film, are beside her. The news of the two stars joining the film has created interest among audiences, the report said.

Known for making commercials and television dramas, Adnan Al Rajeev announced his first feature film in June this year. At the time he did not reveal the film's name or its cast in detail. Speaking of a long-held dream, the director had said he wanted to bring a story of his own imagination to the big screen.

Earlier, Adnan's short film Ali won praise internationally. In 2025, the film received a special recognition in the short film section of the Cannes Film Festival.

With Opalok, Adnan Al Rajeev is now making his feature film debut. However, the director has not yet given details about the film's shooting schedule, release date or other cast members.
