Director MD Iqbal and team escape robbers in Bogura's Sherpur

Director-producer MD Iqbal and members of his team say they were waylaid by robbers while out scouting a film shooting location. The gang stopped their vehicle in the Sherpur area of Bogura on Wednesday (4 November). They are all safe now.

MD Iqbal said: 'We had gone to Sherpur to look for locations for the film Naseeb. There, several men identifying themselves as law enforcers stopped us. They had sticks in their hands. The incident happened around 5:30 in the afternoon.'

Describing the situation, he said: 'From their clothes, the way they spoke and the sandals on their feet, I realised the vehicle had been stopped for robbery. There was an argument with them. Once we understood the situation, we did not delay and managed to leave the spot quickly with the vehicle. By the grace of Allah, we are all safe.'

Iqbal's film Naseeb is being produced by Arshad Adnan. The makers recently released the film's first poster. A host of stars will act in it.

Popular Bollywood villain actor Mukesh Rishi signed on to the film a few days ago.
