After Sylhet five-for, Hasan Mahmud names Kohli as his favourite wicket; West Indies post 356

After taking five wickets in the innings in the second Test against the West Indies in Sylhet, Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud said his favourite wicket is that of India's Virat Kohli.
This is the fifth time Hasan has taken five wickets in a Test innings. His total Test wicket tally now stands at 59. He has dismissed star batters including Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Steve Smith, Shubman Gill and Travis Head. Asked at the press conference after the second day's play in Sylhet which wicket he remembers most fondly, Hasan said: 'Definitely Virat Kohli's wicket.'
Kohli is now a thing of the past in Test cricket. The Indian star batter, who earned the 'run-machine' tag by setting record after record, said goodbye to Tests in a social media statement a year and a half ago.
Hasan now holds the record for the most five-wicket hauls in an innings in Tests among Bangladesh pacers. He has moved past Shahadat Hossain, who took five wickets in an innings four times in Tests.
This is Hasan's first five-wicket haul on home soil. On this, he said: 'In Test cricket, all five-fors are special, so to speak. But of course, I try to give my best everywhere. I try to contribute for the team.'
On the Sylhet pitch, Hasan said: 'The conditions here helped the pacers a lot in the first one or two hours. There was swing movement, the ball was swinging. But after two hours the wicket becomes flat. It becomes batting-friendly.'
In the match, Hasan had taken 2 wickets on the first day against the West Indies. In the 12th over of the second day, he gave Bangladesh the breakthrough by dismissing Amir Jangoo, who had scored 133. Justin Greaves and Jangoo had put on a 106-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
At one stage the West Indies were 323 for 9. But a 33-run last-wicket stand between Jayden Seales and Shamar Joseph took the Caribbean side to 356 in the end.
Liton Das stumped Joshua Bishop off the first ball of Hasan Mahmud's 90th over. That was Hasan's fifth wicket of the innings, completing the record for the most five-wicket hauls by a Bangladesh pacer.
Of the 13 wickets to fall in Sylhet so far, 11 have been taken by pacers. Among the spinners, only Mehedi Hasan Miraz has taken wickets, with 2. Taskin Ahmed has taken 2 wickets. The three Caribbean pacers Seales, Joseph and Greaves have taken one wicket each.
In reply, Bangladesh ended the second day's play on 88 for 3.
